OBJECTIVE

The story of the new Farmacia Verano begins with a deep desire to grow and offer more to its community. In Palmi, where the pharmacy has always been a daily point of reference, the Verano family felt the need to transform their space into something larger, more welcoming, and better able to meet today’s needs.

The expansion was not just an architectural intervention, but a step toward a new way of experiencing the pharmacy: a larger, brighter retail area, rich in products and visual stimuli—especially in the cosmetics department, which has always represented an area of excellence and pride for the pharmacy.

Alongside the increased display capacity, the goal was to introduce what had been missing until now: specialist services capable of delivering real, personalised wellbeing. This led to the creation of a modern, professional beauty room, immersed in an atmosphere that invites customers to take care of themselves.

To support this evolution, it was also necessary to rethink the “behind the scenes”: introducing the robot allowed the pharmacy to free up valuable space and work more efficiently, while significant structural works reshaped internal flows, making the experience more fluid and natural.

Throughout the project, the pharmacy sought to express its connection with Palmi. The olive tree, symbol of the city and its Mediterranean identity, became the heart of the concept—a strong, living sign that welcomes and represents the community.

CONCEPT

The concept brings together territory, wellbeing and innovation, transforming Farmacia Verano into a bright, welcoming, and meaningful space.

The scenic olive tree, placed in a designer planter at the entrance, becomes the symbolic centre of the pharmacy: an architectural gesture celebrating nature, history, and the strength of the Palmi community.

The soft lines of the sound-absorbing ceiling—designed to recall the movement of the sea—guide customers along a path studied in every detail thanks to flow analysis. The increased display capacity is immediately noticeable: the pharmacy feels wider, clearer, and brighter.

The cosmetics area is enhanced by backlit panels, which transform the beauty zone into an immersive, contemporary environment, while the new consultation area creates a more direct and personal relationship with customers.

The automated storage robot enables a cleaner, more organised layout, making possible the significant expansion of the retail floor. The beauty room, designed as an exclusive and relaxing space, completes the pharmacy’s new positioning: a place where health and beauty coexist harmoniously in an evolved customer experience.

The result is a pharmacy that becomes a true point of reference for the community, thanks to a design that reflects the territory and an offering that looks toward the future.
