04 Nov The second pharmacy in Kuwait by Sartoretto Verna will be opening soon!
Inside the brand new Children’s Hospital Bayt Abdullah Children Hospice in Kuwait City will soon be opening a new pharmacy, small but full of character.
The hospital pharmacy dedicated to children has been sponsored and donated to the Ministry of Health by Advanced Technology Company (ATC). The hospital has been named after Abdullah, a 4 year old child with cancer who didn’t want to stay in cold and anonymous hospitals. His mother promised to look after him at home and she did thanks to KACCH (Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital) with its team of visiting doctors. After six months Abdullah died in his mother arms, surrounded by his family and the things he loved most. This is why a child friendly hospital has been planned, to give support to children with life-threatening conditions and their families. Bayt Abdullah Children Hospice (BACCH) has been built thanks to public donations and it is the first pediatric hospital in the Middle East. Sartoretto Verna is proud to be part of this project where even a small pharmacy with the right atmosphere can cheer people and make them smile.
Our architects have created a family like environment, simple but cheerful, perfectly integrated in the design of the Hospital. For the display wall there is a nuance of warm colors such as yellow, salmon and red: tones that children usually like. Ral System 1 white lacquered display units with backlit visuals make the space very bright. For the operative area such as back counter and stock ordering, the small available space has been used to its best creating a light and pleasant environment. There is a comfortable seating area where patients/clients can wait, while children have dog shaped seats which make the waiting more cheerful. The atmosphere we find in the pharmacy is positive and relaxing. Sartoretto Verna has succeded once more in creating something unique yet simple thanks to its experience, its use of quality materials and the right colors.
