Moriah, MY PHARMACY in Puerto Rico
We are in Porto Rico, the Caribbean Island with an environment characterized by mountains and waterfalls typical of rainforest scenarios. The pharmacy is located in Isabela, in the west part of the island.
In conjunction with the tenth-anniversary of the business, the Moriah Pharmacy gets through an extension and renovation, and appointed Sartoretto Verna as a commercial partner for the design, the internal furnishing and the communication.
The premises have a wide footage, with over 7.000 sqm to be placed beside a Medical Centre.
The new pharmacy aims at offering tailor-made products directly from the in-house laboratory, and new consultancies and services such as a vaccination center.
Situated within a partially “wild” and less accomplished part of the island, Moriah Pharmacy has chosen to retain its role of medical “dispatch” as well. For this very reason, it is possible to find, beside medicines and para-pharmaceuticals, other products required by locals such as jewels, drinks, stationery and gifts. Other items have been added with the purpose of collecting a younger clientele and the tourists as well.
Design details have been introduced here and there such as the tulip-shaped chairs, a variety of wall paper (finished with reefs, shells and jelly fish…) and a beach atmosphere diffused throughout the front end, a very well noted one by the clients.
The eternal summer and the carefree nature of the pharmacy have been represented by the wavy suspended ceiling flanking the access corridor, shaped with recessed niches and suspended decorations in order to visually connect the commercial area to make it vivacious and multi-oriented.
A new luminous counter desk “A-kio”, with bench in Corian and integrated bags-holder, has been shortlisted for the area beauty and Make-up.
Behind the counter, the wall-stand units with luminous shelves (line “RAL8.2” have a functional and minimal design (luminous source strictly from the bottom to the top in order to avoid products to remain in the shade). The numerous sources of light feeding the banners communication, the shelves but also all the optional accessories available (mirrors, aluminum blister products hooks, Plexiglas canvas to separate merchandise) are WITHOUT wire on sight.
Some back-lit interchangeable panels, decorated with white and blue flower patterns, are the ones introducing and visually empowering the beauty & make-up area.
The mix between the pharmacy furniture luminosity and the variety of wall paper patterns is something looking easy to the eye.
Plexiglas transparent central stands (mod.“Go-Plexy”), are located directly against the shop windows and offer a chance to visually leave the space ready to be perceived altogether.
Moriah Pharmacy represents another idea of Pharmacy, a distinctive and innovative one, for the Caribbean scenario as a whole.
The pharmacy, in conjunction with its renovation, chose to go beyond the concept of either drugstore and provision of medicines to encompass a wider proposal mainly based on a comprehensive range of services for health and wellness.
Luminous and welcoming spaces have been implemented in order to create an immersive and experiential environment able to overcome the relentless repetition of anonymous front- ends. The story-telling made by images, warm atmospheres and island typical flavors.
Moriah pharmacy is MY PHARMACY IN ISABELA, a new Puerto Rico’s point of reference in terms of health and wellness. Great!
